Salt Bush is salty, yet soft and earthy. It is used as a substitute to traditional salt or enjoyed as a unique seasoning when combined with our other herbs and spices.
Use fresh leaves in salads or as a bed for roasting meats (it's great with lamb) or fish, toss them into stir-fries, dip them in batter and fry them, or use the dried leaves as a seasoning.

As I have high blood pressure I was looking for a salt substitute and decided to try this bush version of salt. While it is only mildly salty and I wouldn’t use it in place of salt, it still has a very unique flavour profile, more reminiscent of a seaweed-based seasoning. Very enjoyable nonetheless and I’m using it wherever I can.
Have tasted it but not cooked with it yet. Great flavour, will use instead of salt when cooking. Thanks for your range of products and for supporting Indigenous community enterprises.
I bought these ingredients mainly to use in a NAIDOC week bake off.
I made Wattleseed and Saltbush breadrolls and then made the rolls filled with Sri Lankan curried vegetables. I cannot express how much my work colleagues enjoyed these. They loved the salty taste of the roll.
This is a game-changer! I love this herbal saltbush. It goes well with meat. I ended up grinding it and now use it instead of regular salt.
An interesting salty flavour, just adds a little something else to a meal.
