Jilungin Bush Tea

This beautiful and unique tea is not only 100% Australian but is 100% wild harvested by Indigenous Australians from The Kimberley in Western Australia.

Jilungin Bush Tea has a herbal and earthy taste and has long been used for its calming and relaxation benefits. Bruno Dann, Traditional Owner and Aboriginal Elder, says that this tea is known to put you to sleep... a long deep sleep. To experience the true magic, not only are the leaves picked, but the bark and stems too. Together, it is an experience of the whole plant. Once picked, everything is dried in large bags in the bush. It is as a true traditional wild tea.

Purchases of this product provides a direct contribution back to the community allowing them to engage in traditional foraging activities, "go out on country" and employ more people.

How to use: Crush a small serving - just enough to fill a small tea strainer if serving for one - cover with boiled water and allow to sit for 3 - 5 minutes.

Servings: As the leaves can be used up to 3 times, there is up to 30 servings in this bag.

Size: 35g Net

Great taste really happy

Purchased this recently when I saw it in a tea shop and thought I’d give it a shot given it interested me and it wasn’t too expensive (given the amount) incase I didn’t like it. I am a little fussy with teas and don’t end up drinking them if they taste too herby, woody or just like random leaves so was a bit sceptical about this as it does just look like a bag full of leaves haha. But I was really surprised as the taste is quite subtle, like a weak more traditional black tea or something (nothing super strong and think could be mixed with other teas or dried products to create a blend) and has a bit of a sweetness (not overpowering though, quite subtle) towards the end of each mouthful. I’ve also tried it with honey which was also really nice but you don’t need much or all you taste is honey, and have used the leaves to brew multiple teas and the taste is still pretty much exactly the same depth of flavour on the second brew and even with a little extra time steeping the third cup is still great! I’ve only tried it before bed once which was last night and could be a coincidence but slept without waking up for the first time in a week and even though I got into bed late I felt very well rested and had lots of energy throughout the day :) the only critique I have is not having a sealer built into the packaging for storage and that I don’t think (at least it’s not stated on my packaging) that the packaging is recyclable, if the closure and recyclable aspects were included it would be perfect! Highly recommend!

Jilungin Tea

I buy this for my husband who has Parkinson's Disease. It really helps him have a restful night of sleep.

From when I tried the Jilungin bush tra I’m wake up in the morning rest. It was a looong time ago since that.

I tried too the Kakadu plum powder on my yogurt and mix with freshwater in the morning. The taste is not invasive at all. I’m really like too.

I can’t wait to try all of the products they propose to design a proper food and drink menu for my 2 restaurants.

Ps: the customers service is excellent too!!!

Repeat purchase because it is a ritual to drink this tea watching the sun go down, then again at supper.
Being able to reuse the tea makes it good value for cost indeed.
It calms, reduces inflammation (I have auto immune illness) and I sleep better.
I say try it.

Yes it helps me sleep

I love the Kakadu plum powder. So I decided to try the jilunjin tea. I am not surprised that it's really good. It does help me sleep. It also helps with pain and inflammation.
It has a wonderful clean light taste and I add a teaspoon of medi jelly honey. I like to sit outside with a little t pot and cup at the end of my night.
One of those simple routines that soothes and distracts. Winding down to sleep. Clearing the clutter in my mind.
Good stuff that. Try it.
Now I'm buying more as well as small Christmas presents. Well done Kakadu Plum, well done indeed.
