Anise Myrtle was traditionally used by Aboriginal people medicinally as a tonic which had a vitalising effect.
Anise myrtle produces leaves with a strong aniseed scent and flavour. In the wild,
the trees are found in the sub-tropical rainforests of northern New South Wales.
How to use
If you love to bake, trying adding a little to your bread or biscotti mix.
Great in dips, salad dressings and hot sauces. Replace aniseed liqueurs in savoury or sweet recipes for a truly delightful alcohol-free licorice flavour.
